Scott Davis has been promoted to Vice President for Sales and Purchasing

Scott Davis joined OMED of Nevada, LLC, a Reno-based reseller of used medical equipment, at the beginning of 2010 as Regional Sales Manager for the Northern Nevada and Northern California. Due to his outstanding success he has been promoted to Vice President Sales and Purchasing. We are very proud of Scott and wish him continued success in his expanded responsibilities.

Dave Ogren, founder of OMED of Nevada LLC, announces his retirement from the used medical equipment industry after a career spanning more than four decades.

Ogren founded the company in 1995 and sold it to Terry Vander Ploeg and Heinz Roesch in the latter part of 2009. Among the many accomplishments of Ogren’s career was his instrumental role in developing the California Medical Instrumentation Association (CMIA) and seeing it grow over the years. He served the CMIA for more than 10 years in various senior roles, culminating in his two-year chairmanship, which ended in early 2010.

“After Dave’s football days as a quarterback at the university level, he started to work in the medical field,” said OMED CEO Roesch. “He lives and breathes anything around medical equipment. He can not only carry a detailed and very technical conversation with doctors and nurses advising them on the best equipment based on their specific needs and applications, but he also can talk shop with the technicians designing or maintaining any type of medical equipment. I have learned a lot from him these last two years.”

Terry Vander Ploeg and Heinz Roesch purchased majority interest in the Reno company from founder Dave Ogren. OMED of Nevada sells refurbished medical electronic equipment to medical facilities and clinics throughout the United States and internationally. The company has clients in 17 countries, including South America, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
